Urbino mere Sud
Lakes | Corsica
With a surface of 790 hectares and a maximal depth of 9m, the Urbinu mere is the second biggest and deepest in Corsica.
This is a protected lagoon, in an unconstructed area, including a set of small peripheral wetlands favorable to the fauna (birds in particular). The mere is only separated from the Tyrrhenian Sea by a simple strip of sand colonized by a littoral undergrowth with junipers (very rare on the oriental plain of Corsica) and dunes with a maritime pine forest.
