Right in the heart of Levie this Museum offers a real journey in the time.
You can discover the history of human occupation of this site for 10 000 years. From Prehistory, from the first implantation of men in shelters under the rock until their more elaborate facilities in the Middle Ages. The collections come directly from the excavation sites of the Alta-Rocca, and the museum traces the invention of pottery, the emergence of agriculture, the beginning of the breeding, development tools. You can also discover the Lady of Bonifacio, oldest human remains of Corsica (Mesolithic). Finally, in the sacred art room, you can admire an ivory crucifix of the sixteenth century, the Pope Sixtus V donated to the village of Levie. Open all year. Low season: Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 12pm and from 1:30 p. m. to 5:15 p. m. High season: every day from 9am to 18pm Adults: €4 .
