A Nature Reserve, the Lavezzi Islands are composed of many islands.

Small sheltered coves, a wide variety of fish species and many walking paths are all part of an essential day on the islands! It is also the location of the shipwreck "La Sémillante" (February 1855). Of the 700 men on board, 560 souls rest in two cemeteries on the main island. Only the captain and the chaplain were identified. The island of Cavallo is part of the archipelago. It was used by the Romans for the extraction of granite for the building of temples. The site of the former quarry is listed as a Historic Monument. Since 1972 luxurious residences have been built on Cavallo, earning it the nickname "Island of billionaires. " .
